WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF HEMP OIL FOR MY PET?
We can only rely on anecdotal results because Health Canada has only just issued the green light to conduct regulated studies on the effects of Cannabis in animals. Many pet owners have reported benefits of hemp for dogs and cats, including treatment of pain, arthritis, seizures, anxiety, lack of appetite, cognitive dysfunction and more. After all, it's been used for thousands of years! Because of the lack of formal scientific evidence, Canadian veterinarians cannot legally prescribe Cannabis products. ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
PawsitiveReleaf should not cause your dog or cat to experience any side effects. Some people note that they seems more content, have a better appetite, or just seem to be moving around with more enthusiasm. Generally, our side effects are good ones! You might even get to sleep through the night during the next thunderstorm.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE TO MY PET?
Our standard guidelines for use are on the package based on weight. This is always where we recommend you start, however you may want to adjust the amount based on your pet's individual health conditions. No two pets are the same, and we are available to help! WHAT MAKES PAWSITIVERELEAF DIFFERENT?
PawsitiveReleaf is a high quality organic hemp oil. Our treats contain the same oil that we sell, and they are hand mixed and baked with high quality, human-grade ingredients. Quality is paramount, and we choose our ingredients carefully. There is nothing added that we wouldn't eat ourselves. (However...we don't recommend them for human consumption!)
WILL PAWSITIVERELEAF GET MY DOG HIGH?
No. PawsitiveReleaf is sourced from a licensed reputable supplier and lab tested by a third party. Hemp (unlike marijuana) contains a negligible amount of THC, which is the compound responsible for a 'high'. It can also be toxic to pets in large quantities. If you are considering a Cannabis product for your pet and it's not PawsitiveReleaf, always confirm there is no THC content and that it is hemp based. **Never use a product intended for human consumption for your pet.**
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HEMP OIL AND THE TREATS?
Whichever one you choose, you'll get the same great benefits. The oil we sell is the exact same one that we bake into our treats. Your dog will probably be partial to the treats because, well... they're delicious!! Seriously, we've never had a dog refuse to eat one. They are easy to use at any time, anywhere. But your pet can enjoy the oil too whenever they have their daily regular meal, or just straight from the dropper. If they have a strict diet due to allergies or a sensitive stomach, the oil can be a better option. If you have a large dog, you'll probably find the oil to be more economical. The choice is yours!
